Digital Detox 101: Unplugging for Mental Clarity

Our daily lives are punctuated by the constant hum of notifications, the perpetual scroll of social media feeds, and the ever-present glow of screens. This digital onslaught has been linked to heightened stress levels, decreased productivity, and a general sense of overwhelm. Unplugging is not merely a luxury but a necessity in reclaiming mental space and achieving mental clarity.

A digital detox involves a deliberate and mindful disconnection from digital devices, creating a sacred space for mental rejuvenation. It's an opportunity to break free from the cycle of notifications, emails, and constant connectivity, allowing the mind to breathe, reset, and refocus.

How to Unplug with Intention: A Digital Detox Guide 1. Scheduled Breaks: Designate specific times in your day for digital detox breaks. Whether it's an hour of screen-free time in the morning or a technology-free evening, having designated periods fosters intentional unplugging. 2.

Create Tech-Free Zones: Designate areas in your home as tech-free zones. These spaces can serve as sanctuaries for reading, relaxation, or mindful contemplation, free from the distractions of screens. 3.

Notification Management: Turn off non-essential notifications during your designated digital detox times to maintain a serene and focused mental space.

Diving deep into our exercise library and into the Glute Machine folder we have our Curtsy Lunges using the Corefirst sliders. The challenge is: to go as SLOW AS POSSIBLE!! Tighten that core and sloooooowwwly sink down, then use all those stabilizer muscles to pull yourself back up! Give it a try!

Great answer Janna! When doing your squats focus on weight in heals, knees over feet (not in front of toes), engage core to keep chest as vertical as you can. When pushing up focus on squeezing glutes and when going down think about hamstrings contracting to pull you down. Also the more glute and core focused movements you do through out this 30 days, will help you with a better mind muscle connection to your glutes and core, so you are more familiar with engaging and focusing on them in any movement.
