That's great! Workouts are amazing for times of high stress. It's a nice way to set the world aside for a minute and just focus on you!

When you think of Mission Statements, I’m sure you think of business plans and cubicles. However, having a personal mission statement can be a powerful tool to make decisions that adequately align with your goals and aspirations when perhaps your motivation and willpower aren’t as strong. Although similar to repeating positive affirmations, a mission statement makes it a bit more personal.

1.)Reflect on your values and beliefs:

Take some time to think about what is most important to you, what your values are, and what you believe in. This will help you understand what you want to prioritize in your life.

2.) Define your goals:

Write down your short-term and long-term goals, and think about what you want to accomplish in different areas of your life, such as your career, relationships, and personal growth.

3.)Consider your strengths and passions:

Think about what you are good at and what you enjoy doing, and how these can be incorporated into your mission statement.

4.)Write your mission statement:

Use the information you have gathered to write a mission statement that defines your values, goals, and purpose. Make sure it is concise, positive, and inspiring.

Examples:

- “I am an innovative, forward-thinking teacher, educating young minds and creating compassionate, empathetic, and hard-working members of society.”

-“I consistently push boundaries and think outside the box. I easily and regularly dedicate time and effort to furthering my education, building my career, connecting with my family, and maintaining a healthy lifestyle.”

There are no rules in creating your new tool. Find a phrase that reignites your “spark” and remember to review your mission statement periodically to make sure it still reflects who you are and what you want to achieve.
